My Now Page has been inspired by Derek Sivers. If you have a blog or website, you might want to consider keeping one as well. Here’s how and why to create a now page.
Reading
Happily, my love for reading seems to have been rekindled. This is what I put my reading glasses on for these days:

- „Die Frau als Mensch“ by Ulli Lust, a graphic novel about human history, from the female perspective.
- „Die verdrängte Pandemie“, a collection of perspectives from the left on the ongoing revisionism concerning SARS-Cov-2.
- my backlog of short stories at deadlinesforwriters
Listening
- „Saving Us“ by Katherine Hayhoe on Bookbeat, still. I am considering cancelling my subscription to this app
- Old „Best-Of“ CDs from the 90s. They had been stored in the attic for years, now I get to rediscover them.
- Radio Wacken for breakfast, if my husband is home. If it’s just me, there is likely going to be silence in the background.
Watching
- Enterprise with Scott Bakula as Captain Archer. I just love the theme song and the tune at the end. Usually, I skip the intros for series. This one I watch every time and sing along.
- Still looking forward to Starfleet Academy
- Playlist „Zentangle Project Pack No. 27“, which is about the concept of fragments and reticula, which I ejoyed to learn about during the January „Fragment of Your Imagination Challenge“
Now Working On
- writing one blog post per month in English, the last one being from December 25
- changing all my pictures from png to webp, which is taking longer than anticipated
- learning the basics of Ubuntu after having used it since 2010.
Now Doing
- sewing two skirts following an 18 century inspired pattern that is supposed to always fit, also trousers with pockets (!)
- measuring how much time different tasks and activities take, so I can plan my day more realistically
- learning about capturing an passant from the Duolingo chess course, which I seem to have known about when my father tried to teach me chess way back when, but then I forgot
- watching the snow and ice melt away at last, even though usually I am such a big fan of winter

Ending 2025 Intentionally
I have an annual tradition of taking stock using a list of questions. This year I chose ending 2025 intentionally with a blog post.
